The Process

The Street Funk MTL collection – a fusion of art forms that's as dynamic as the city it celebrates!

Our adventure begins with an exhilarating city-wide quest, scouring every nook for jaw-dropping street art that sets the urban scene ablaze.

Then, enter the star of the show, my muse, Taroum Rimtobaye – a dynamic force of photogenic energy, the embodiment of dynamism and photogenic brilliance.

We capture her essence against the backdrop of Montreal's pulsating energy and its breathtaking street art. Together, we embark on a creative journey to merge these elements into compositions that pulse with excitement.

Then, it's a wild journey of stretching, painting, drawing and transforming these photographs into a heightened state of exaggeration, evolving them into striking high-contrast black and white pieces that defy convention.

But that's not all – we splash in a burst of color, turning the canvas into a kaleidoscope of energy.

Once the digital symphony reaches its peak, it's time for the grand transfer.

We imprint these electrifying images onto canvas, employing a silk screen process that adds a touch of magic. The final images are no ordinary prints; they are a symphony of screens, intricately layered to accommodate their grand size. The result? An awe-inspiring visual experience that transcends the ordinary.

The prints are not just limited; they're exclusive treasures, available in three sizes – 6 small (averaging 36 by 14) - 4 medium-large (averaging 55 by 22 inches) and 3 large (averaging 72 by 30 inches). Each piece is a rare gem, a testament to the electrifying fusion of creativity and urban energy that defines Street Funk MTL.
